Deborah Julia Marks
Deborah has over 30 years experience in all aspects of musical theatre including performing, directing, choreography and all elements of stage production. Over the years she has performed alongside a variety of well known acts from The Beverley Sisters and Alf Garnet himself, Warren Mitchell to EastEnders and Casualty actor Michael French. Having taken a break to have a family, she then returned to her love of musical theatre by choreographing various school productions and running a performing arts group for children in Essex and Northamptonshire. As well as this, Deborah also choreographed and produced an aerobic routine for a National Aerobic Competition which was performed at Wembley Indoor Arena. Deborah started as back row chorus and dancer. She quickly made her way through the ranks to the front of the stage with her leading lady debut as Sally Bowels in Cabaret. Deborah went on to take the lead in many more shows before turning her hand to directing and choreographing adult and youth groups. Deborah is a qualified dance tutor and also holds an RSA in exercise to music. After this extensive career on and off the stage Deborah excels in passing on her wealth of knowledge and experience onto students looking to follow her successful path in musical theatre.
